2020 sustainable supply chain forum

 

The ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) was a co-organiser of the forum on the subject of building circular ecosystems. The event featured opening remarks by guests of honour and presentations by representatives from Carrefour, Covestro, IKEA, and Unilever who shared their experiences in circular sourcing.

The event began with opening remarks by Yang Po-keng, Deputy Director General of the Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), and ECCT CEO Freddie Höglund. This was followed by a keynote speech by Filip Grzegorzewski, Head of Office of the European Economic and Trade Office, on the subject of the EU’s European Green Deal and Green Recovery Plan.

Presentations were given by Marilyn Su, Spokesperson and CSR & Communication Director, Carrefour; Kayla Wu, Polycarbonates Global Sustainability Solutions, Covestro; Linda Wang, Sustainability Manager of IKEA North Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau) and Jennifer Yu, Senior Manager of Unilever Taiwan / Hong Kong.

After the presentations, parallel sessions were held on the topics of circular sourcing (chaired by Carrefour), circular materials (chaired by Covestro), circular design (chaired by Decathlon), circular models (chaired by IKEA) and circular packaging (chaired by Unilever).
