LCI meeting with CPC Chairman Dr Tai Chein 中油公司戴謙董事長

Today a CPC- ECCT LCI meeting took place at the China Petroleum Co. Headquarters office Taipei.

After a mutual introduction led by the CPC's Chairmen Dr Tai Chien and ECCT CEO Freddie Hoeglund, 10 CPC executives and 21 LCI members had a comprehensive discussion over the transformation of Taiwan and CPC in the next decades: 1) green energy, energy saving and energy storage, 2) EV/E-scooter chargers installation, and eventually 3) the Energy for the Next Generation report co-published by ECCT and CPC on 30 May.

Among these talks, some figures have to be highlighted: there won't be any gas motorcycle produced/imported after 2035 and no more oil engines vehicles sold in Taiwan after 2040. To achieve that, the CPC will install 1,000 chargers for e-scooters by 2020.

At the end of the meeting, Dr Tai invited the LCI members to join the related events of CPC.

To conclude, Dr Tai Chien emphasized that CPC needs a real transformation. As such, Dr Tai urges ECCT LCI members to help the CPC with providing best solutions and advices from the globe; there was a great response to that call.
