LCI green finance leaders forum

The ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) was a co-organiser of the 2021 Green Finance Leaders Roundtable Forum (綠色金融領袖圓桌論壇) on the subject of climate risk management together with the Bankers Association of the Republic of China (BAROC, 銀行公會理) and the Taiwan Academy of Banking and Finance (TABF, 金融研訓院). At the event opening remarks were made by ECCT Vice Chairman Giuseppe Izzo, Dr Wu Chung-shu (董事長吳中書) Chairman of TABF, Dr Hsu Yung-chin, Vice Chairperson of the Financial Supervisory Commission (FSC, 金管會副主委許永欽), Joseph Lyu, Chairman of BAROC (理事長呂桔誠). This was followed by presentations by Eliza Li, Leader of PwC Sustainability & Climate Change Services; Ian Anderson, CEO of Standard Chartered Bank; Michael Li, Vice President of Air Liquide who shared with 120 attending executives from Taiwan financial institutions their expertise on ESG issues, green hydrogen, and risk aversion in green finance. 

The event was concluded by a panel discussion involving the speakers and Yang-wei-fuu, Chairman of Taiwan Power Company (Taipower), moderated by Dr Wu Chung-shu.
