The National Immigration Agency (NIA) is urging foreigners with the new ARC cards to file their taxes early.

The new cards have a different number format than previously, and there are concerns that this could cause some issues with tax reports.

The NIA says discovering these problems early will give the agency time to help affected foreigners resolve them.

The government has already granted a month-long extension to the tax filing period as concerns rise over coronavirus.
