In recent years, the government has vigorously promoted the development of renewable energy, power grid management and energy dispatching technology. The EU's pending Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), as part of its efforts to achieve net zero carbon emissions, has increased the demand for renewable energy by manufacturers in all countries exporting products to the EU, including Taiwan. And the change in energy mix away from fossil fuels to renewables has focused attention on the importance of energy storage systems, which will be necessary to maintain the stability of the grid that increasingly relies on intermittent renewable energy sources.

This forum is co-hosted by European Centre in Taiwan (EUTW), the ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI), and TÜV Rheinland. We have invited representatives of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI), under the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) record Taiwan's most updated policies on energy storage and also experts from various industries to discuss trends, market, regulations and practical experience which will help companies to gain a better understanding of market trends and to boost the development of the industry.
