On 31 August an ECCT delegation headed by Chairman Peter Weiss visited Premier Wu Den-yih and selected cabinet ministers at the Executive Yuan. Committee chairs from several of the ECCT's committees took the opportunity to raise some of the ECCT's most important business issues.

On 25 August Tony Chao, Managing Director at Jones Lang LaSalle gave a presentation at a special luncheon on the real estate market outlook. Chao provided some insights on the impact that the ECFA will have on Taiwan’s real estate market, including the office, hotel, retail and residential property markets.

On 22 June, Dr Lu Shyue-ching, Chairman & CEO of Chunghwa Telecom was the guest speaker at the ECCT's June Monthly Members' Luncheon on telecom transformation and cloud computing.

On 19 August the Human Resources committee hosted Garry Wang, Greater China Business Leader from Mercer M&A consulting on the topic Understanding the talent landscape in Greater China.
