MoE relaxes rules on schooling of foreign nationals

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has made changes to regulations to improve the treatment of non-Taiwanese students in Taiwan. The changes allow the children of multinational enterprises' PRC, Hong Kong and Macau employees to attend international schools in Taiwan. In addition, the changes clarify and simplify the current application and approval procedures for such children to apply to study in private schools. Thanks to these efforts, the issue listed in the 2014 position paper of the ECCT's Better Living committee under the heading "Schooling of children of multinational enterprises' PRC, Hong Kong and Macau employees" has been resolved.
