For more than 40 years, we have been a pioneer and leader of the wind industry, and today our team of more than 27,000 colleagues work at the center of the global energy revolution to tackle the most significant challenge of our generation – the climate crisis. With a leading position in onshore, offshore, and service, we engineer, build and deliver powerful and reliable wind energy solutions in strong partnership with our customers. A global business with local impact, we have installed more than 124 GW and provide access to clean, affordable and sustainable energy that keeps the lights on across the world.

Siemens Gamesa Taiwan
Siemens Gamesa came to Taiwan to establish our Asia-Pacific hub in 2017. It is responsible for the offshore wind markets including Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, and other Asia-Pacific regions. The team has grown from 5 employees to a current scale of 300, comprising members from 18 countries with an average age of 36.

As a global leader in the offshore wind power industry, we are committed to bring the latest offshore wind turbine technology to Taiwan. We actively collaborate with local partners to develop the offshore wind power supply chain. In 2019, we completed the construction of the first commercial scale offshore wind farm in APAC region and Taiwan, with a capacity of 128MW. In early 2023, we complete the construction of Formosa 2 (376MW) offshore wind farm.

Siemens Gamesa has invested Taiwan's first nacelle factory in Taichung harbor and has delivered 75 local assembled nacelles for the Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind projects. The nacelle factory is currently expanding as planned and is expected to start local production of SG 14-222 DD offshore wind turbines in Q2, 2024.

Siemens Gamesa has awarded more than 4GW confirmed orders and installed capacity in Taiwan, including Formosa 1 offshore wind farm (128MW), Formosa 2 offshore wind farm (376MW), Yunlin offshore wind project (640MW), Greater Changhua 1 & 2a offshore wind projects (900MW), Greater Changhua 2b & 4 offshore wind projects (920MW), and Hai Long offshore wind projects (1,044MW). We are fully committed to supporting the government’s goal of achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2050.
