National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech) is centrally located in one of Taipei City's busiest and most vibrant areas. Our main entrance opens onto a major city thoroughfare and we are a few minutes' walk away from MRT Zhongxiao-Xinsheng (blue line metro) Station, Huashan 1914 Creative Park, Syntrend Creative Park, and Guanghua Electronic Plaza. Taipei Tech's synthesis of technology and creativity has consistently made it a magnet for bright minds and inspired entrepreneurs, producing a long list of graduates who have gone on to make outstanding contributions in a wide range of professions.

本校共有機電、電資、工程、管理、設計、人文與社會科學共六大學院，為了讓學生與企業無縫接軌，臺北科大打造多間設備與業界同步的特色實驗室，從實務教學中為學生們的技術扎根。同時創全國之先，規定學生於畢業前，須至業界實習至少兩個月，讓學生畢業前即熟悉產業運作模式，本校更積極推動創新創業，不論在課程教學、經驗傳承、資金媒合以及創業基地提供等方面，皆有完善規劃。本校研究主要聚焦在數位匯流、生態綠能、電動車、感測器以及創意設計等領域，並注重實用性，將研發成果利用在健康科技、智慧科技、綠色科技與文化創意等產業。

Taipei Tech's six colleges include Mechanical & Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering & Computer Science, Engineering, Management, Design, and Humanities & Social Science. Our laboratories are maintained with state-of-the-art software, instruments, and equipment and our practice-based curricula help students master key technical concepts and skills – all helping ensure that Taipei Tech students are well prepared to transition seamlessly into their ideal future careers. Taipei Tech was the first university in Taiwan to require internship experience of at least two months prior to graduation, with the goal of familiarizing students with the realities and challenges of workplace environments. The university also actively promotes entrepreneurship by offering related courses, experience sharing, startup-funding matchmaking assistance, and startup facility space. Taipei Tech research and development efforts focus primarily on digital convergence, green energy, electric vehicles, sensor technologies, and innovative design. A clear emphasis on application has led to the adoption of Taipei Tech innovations and research results in the fields of medical technology, smart-tech, green technology, and cultural-creativity.   

百年來建立的專業口碑使本校成為友邦國家最佳的人才培育夥伴，本校致力於培育世界公民。目前校內已有超過650位來自50幾個不同國家的外籍學生，同時陸續邀請150多位國際講座教授來校講學、研究，提供本校學生全方位的國際視野。

Taipei Tech's solid reputation for academic excellence earned over the past century has made the university the best partner for training and working with talent from many emerging nations. Taipei Tech is proud of its active role in promoting a truly global community. Currently, more than 650 students from over 50 different countries are enrolled in Taipei Tech programs. Moreover, Taipei Tech is well underway to having more than 150 international chair professors teaching and doing research on campus as well as providing Taipei Tech students with the broad, international perspective necessary to compete and stand out in today’s global marketplace.

Taipei Tech's extensive list of outstanding alumni includes the current CEOs and presidents of over 10% of Taiwan's publicly traded and OTC firms. The university's reputation as an engine of industry and incubator of business innovation is well founded.
