In Taiwan, our corporate/M&A team, led by Managing Partner (Taiwan) Jacqueline Fu, assists clients from nearly every major industry.  Landmark deals include assisting a client complete one of the largest secondary market sales of a solar portfolio in Taiwan and representing clients in the sale of offshore wind projects in Taiwan.  We also regularly advise multinational companies doing business in or outside Taiwan on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, keeping the nature and potential cost of environmental issues in mind, as well as assist domestic and foreign clients investing in Taiwan’s renewable energy markets.

Eminent practitioner and partner James Chen leads the capital markets team, which is well known for assisting diverse companies with raising and securing diverse forms of capital in Taiwan and overseas.  Significant work includes assisting the first foreign company to list on the Emerging Stock Market of the Taipei Stock Exchange and assisting two Taiwan-listed biotech companies to list on NASDAQ. We are also a go-to firm in Taiwan for European Corporate Bond listings.

Lawyers in the energy, infrastructure, and resource team regularly advise clients on some of the largest project developments, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions in LNG, thermal power, solar and offshore wind projects in Taiwan. They also have experience representing clients pursuing clean technology deals.
