The LCI 2020 Midterm Meeting will be starting at 11:00 AM at TESLA Taiwan on Thursday, 28 May. This meeting will summarize the LCI events in Q1-Q2, and brief the LCI’s upcoming activities in Q3-Q4 of 2020.

At the special lunch, following the LCI Midterm meeting, Yvonne Chan, Country Director, Korea & Taiwan at Tesla, will share insights about Tesla's vision for the future of E-mobility. At 12:30 PM, to follow the CDC guidelines of sanitation and health, exquisite box lunch from Grand Hyatt Taipei will be served. Starting 13:00 PM, our guest of honour, Ethan Tu, founder of Taiwan AI Labs, will give a 30-minute presentation on next-generation AI solutions in smart cities, and how Taiwan is using tech to fight COVID-19. After the lunch, members may register for a free one-hour tour of TESLA Park.

About the speakers
In 1995 Ethan Tu founded PTT.cc, the largest terminal-based bulletin board system based in Taiwan, and in 1998 the social network for Yam.com. He received his MS degree from National Taiwan University in the year 2000. In 2003, he joined the National Health Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) in Washington DC as Program Lead for the Human Genome Project before moving on to work for Microsoft as Principal Development Manager in 2006. In 2017 he founded Taiwan AILabs, a privately-funded research organization based in Taipei which focuses on Healthcare, Smart Cities and Human Interaction.

Yvonne Chan has been the Country Director for Korea since 2018, and shortly thereafter, expanded her coverage to Taiwan in 2019 and spearheaded rapid business growth in the region. She has more than 20 years of experience specializing in operations management as well as business development. After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Management Systems in 2002 in Canada, she moved on to work in several US companies across the APAC region. Her most recent role prior to Tesla was managing business development at Taikoo Motors Taiwan, where her successful track record in growing the trucking business has brought her to a regional role as Operations Director for Swire Motors in Hong Kong from 2012-2016. Initially joining as to APAC Senior Delivery Manager, Ms Chan has developed a strong track record and was subsequently asked to take on the role of Country Director for Korea and Taiwan.
