The ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) arranged a workshop together with Taiwan Power Company (Taipower), and PwC 資誠會計事務所 centred around how businesses and electric vehicles can run on 100% renewable energy. At the event welcome remarks were made by Giuseppe Izzo, ECCT Vice Chairman and LCI Chair, Dr Chung Nien-mien, General Manager of Taipower's Taiwan Power Research Institute (TPRI, 台電綜合研究所所長 鍾年勉), and Tsai Yi-tai, Partner at PWC Taiwan (資誠會計事務所會計師 蔡亦臺). The workshop began with a Taiwan renewable energy market briefing by Sammy Su, LCI Director. This was followed by a series of presentations by industry experts.

Ian Jiang, Originator - PPAs & Structured Origination, APAC for RWE Renewables (萊茵集團客戶方案經理 姜以安) gave a presentation on how power companies in Germany are helping businesses to run on renewable electricity.

In his presentation, Kai Wang, Business Development Consultant for Hitachi Energy (日立能源業務拓展顧問 王建凱) spoke about Hitachi Energy's Sustainability Strategy 2030 and VPP & microgrid solutions for renewable energy integration.

In his presentation Huang Chih-Wen, Chief of the 6th Division Section of the Bureau of Standards, Metrology and Inspection, MOEA (經濟部標準檢驗局第六組組長 黃志文) spoke about green leasing: New solutions for energy procurement in commercial buildings and Moving towards net zero: Electric Vehicles and the use of green energy.

Jack Chen, Senior Director & Head of Tower Engineering Operation at Taipei 101 (台北 101 工程營運部資深總監 陳振翔) spoke about renewables transference/ A new model for green offices.

The event ended with a panel discussion with all of the speakers moderated by Sammy Su, LCI Director and Tsai Yi-tai, Partner at PWC Taiwan (資誠會計事務所會計師 蔡亦臺).
