The Covid-19 pandemic has caused a global supply chain disconnection crisis and pushed countries to pay more attention to the self-sufficiency of energy resources. For example, amidst this devastating pandemic, the European Union still adheres to the "European Green Deal" promotion, which advocates that the recovery plan must be based on the Green New Deal and must emphasize on sustainability, health, employment, and digital transformation. The circular economy is the priority investment project of the "European Sustainable Investment Plan." In the face of the EU's Green New Deal issues, production, government, and research have gradually taken a multi-pronged approach from policy to technology. It is hoped that it will help promote the circular economy and truly achieve market transformation and environmental goals.

In order to let the industry better understand the development of the EU's Green New Deal, and promote the development of the industrial chain's circular economy transformation. The ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) together with CEPO and the TEEMA organized the "2021 CE Promotion Forum: Opportunities and Challenges of European Green Deal & CBAM" Experts will be invited to share in-depth industry trends and key issues, as well as discussions about the influence of Taiwanese companies.
