Established in 1986, the Canadian Trade Office in Taipei (CTOT) represents Canada's interests in Taiwan. CTOT provides the same support services as other Canadian missions abroad. The office, which has staff totalling over 40, also houses officers from the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the provinces of Alberta and British Columbia.  

CTOT's Trade & Investment Section organizes, promotes and participates in a wide range of events annually, including trade shows, seminars, delegation visits and public affairs activities. Our main goal is to connect the Canadian and Taiwanese business communities.   

The CTOT also maintains high level contact with Taiwanese government officials in order to represent Canadian interests in Taiwan.  In addition, CTOT’s Consular Affairs provides citizenship and consular services to many Canadians who live in Taiwan.
