Crédit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank (CACIB) is the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of the Crédit Agricole Group, and is the World‘s No.10 Bank by total assets (The Banker, July 2020). Crédit Agricole CIB benefits from the Crédit Agricole Group’s rating ( A+ S&P, Aa3 Moody’s ) and solid financial position, and is one of Europe’s leading financing and investment banking businesses.

With a presence in major countries in Europe, America, Asia and the Middle East, Crédit Agricole CIB provides its clients with a complete range of products and services in the areas of capital markets, investment banking, structured finance, and corporate banking.

CACIB Taipei branch, originally established in 1981 as a representative office, was the first French bank and one of the very first foreign banks to enter the Taiwanese market. Since obtaining a banking license in 1984, it has gained a strong foothold and becomes a leading foreign bank.

In May 2021, CACIB Taipei branch issued a ‘Solidarity-based’ Green bond to refinance its local renewable portfolio (wind, solar, …) embedding a financial contribution to Plastic Odyssey – a NGO fighting against plastic pollution at sea. This transaction – encompassing a ‘solidarity’ feature was the first bond of its kind on a global basis. ‘ESG in the mainstream’ is at the heart of our local strategy: Our products and services are reflecting this, with new green or social innovative features being embedded when relevant.

CACIB Taipei branch client coverage includes mainly large local companies, multinationals, banks & financial institutions. In Taiwan, we focus primarily on Corporate Lending, Capital Market products (including Money Markets, Foreign Exchange, Structured Products and Derivatives), Loan Syndication, Project Finance and Trade Finance & Transaction Banking.
