At the start of 2022, the Covid-19 pandemic situation in Taiwan remains under control, and overall economic prospects look promising. In addition, Taiwan was ranked the best place in the world for expats to live for the third year in a row in the survey of 12,420 expats conducted by InterNations, a Munich-based expat network with about four million members. In Taipei City, residents have benefitted from easy access to vaccines, healthcare resources and quarantine hotels, while businesses in certain industries have enjoyed tax and other types of financial support. While pandemic prevention and control measures will remain a priority for national and municipal authorities in 2022, the Taipei City Government will also be focused on ways to reduce carbon emissions, promote digital transformation, and improve the quality of life in the city for all residents and visitors. At this event, our guest speaker will provide an update on the city’s pandemic prevention, environmental, digital, and social policies. He will also talk about how the city will continue to make Taipei an attractive place to live and work. Among other topics, he will give a presentation and engage in an interactive Q&A with guests on the following:

  • 2050 net zero carbon emissions
  • Digital transformation of industries
  • Pandemic prevention policies
  • How to enjoy life in Taipei
