CECC revises case definition for COVID-19; people aged 65 and older considered as confirmed cases if they test positive with rapid tests and have their test results confirmed by medical personnel. For detailed information, please refer to this link.

Travel Restrictions

Regarding Taiwan's general travel restrictions and regulations, please refer to this link.

Starting from 2022-4-18, arrivals on flights from US, Canada, New Zealand, Australia to take saliva test at the airport as COVID-19 pandemic slows down in these four countries; arrivals urged to abide by new rules. For detailed information, please refer to this link.

Starting from 2022-04-09, travelers arriving on flights from Vietnam to be required to provide results from rapid antigen tests taken within 6 hours before boarding. For detailed information, please refer to this link.

Qurantine Regulations

Beginning May 14, new options available for people in home isolation, self-initiated epidemic prevention or home quarantine who test positive with rapid tests to have assessments. For detailed information, please refer to this link.

Beginning May 17, live-in family members of COVID-19 confirmed cases who have received three vaccine doses can be exempted from home isolation but should practice 7-day self-initiated epidemic prevention. For detailed information, please refer to this link.

Effective from May 8, people living with confirmed cases to be listed as close contacts and self-initiated responsive measures to be taken at workplaces and schools; digital fencing for people in home isolation to be removed. For detailed information, please refer to this link.

Vaccine Information

To reduce the risk of developing moderate or severe symptoms following COVID-19 infection, eligible individuals can get second booster shot five months after their first booster shot beginning May 16. For detailed information, please refer to this link.
