2018 Tainan-ECCT Low Carbon Forum for Sustainability and Clean City 2018 臺歐低碳永續與清淨城市論壇

On 15 November, the Tainan City Government and European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT) will together hold the 2018 Tainan-ECCT Low Carbon Forum for Sustainability and Clean City at Tainan Shangri-La Far Eastern Plaza Hotel. Aiming to creating a better living environment by mitigating air pollution from industry and transportation, the conference of this year focuses on three topics:
- Air Quality Management and Innovation Actions in Taiwan and Europe
- Climate Change and Micro-Monitoring towards Air Pollution Characteristic
- Clean Energy Application and Energy Transition
The forum is to reveal the challenges of city air quality in relation to domestic heating and transport, and, sharing best practice and cutting edge solutions. Policy representatives, scholars, and industry executives from Taiwan and European countries: Germany, UK, Demark, and Sweden will meet at this forum to share their expertise and discuss how to create a sustainable urban environment. In addition, the host city Tainan will introduce the city's advanced environmental policies and technologies.
This Tainan-ECCT Low Carbon City forum has been jointly facilitated by Tainan’s Environment Protection Bureau and the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) since 2013. The forum aims at promoting energy-saving and carbon emission reduction by bringing together the European top policy makers, scholars, and business leaders to address the challenges of a low-carbon economy for Tainan City.
