The ECCT’s Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) was a co-organiser of the 2021 CE Promotion Forum: Opportunities and Challenges of European Green Deal & CBAM , together with TEEMA, and CEPO. The 3-hour forum took place virtually on 7 Sept. With an audience of over 390 members attending this online webinar. The MOEA IDB Director-General Leu Jang-Hwa(經濟部工業局呂正華局長) was invited to give opening remarks together with TEEMA Chairman Lee Tsu-chin (電電公會李詩欽理事長) and ECCT CEO Freddie Höglund (歐洲商會執行長 何飛逸).

We invited four expert speakers: Dr. Lin Sheng-Chung, Emeritus Professor, Chung Yuan Christian University, Eliza Li, Leader of Sustainability and Climate Change Services, PwC, Liu Chih-Chung, Team Leader, Industrial Economics and Knowledge Center, and Rakesh Vazirani, Head of Sustainability Services, Business Stream Products, TÜV Rheinland, and moderator Eric Lin, Managing Director of PwC, gave insightful presentations on how Taiwan companies shall respond to the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) as well as the EU's Green New Deal concerning Plastic Tax, Carbon Credits, and etc.
