[Event Report] 2020 Sustainable Supply Chain Forum: Building Circular Ecosystems 2020 永續循環經濟品牌供應鏈交流會議 活動報導

On 9th Sept., the 2020 Sustainable Supply Chain Forum: Building Circular Ecosystems was successfully held at Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). The event featured sustainability chief officers and managers from Carrefour, Covestro, IKEA, Unilever, and Decathlon who shared their experiences in circular sourcing.

The forum began with opening remarks by Yang Po-Keng, Deputy Director-General of Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) of MOEA, and Freddie Höglund, CEO of European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan (ECCT), followed by a keynote speech by Filip Grzegorzewski, Head of European Economics and Trade Office (EETO) on the subject of the EU’s European Green Deal and Green Recovery Plan.

Five green supply chain strategy presentations are respectively made by Marilyn Su, Spokesperson and CSR & Communication Director, Carrefour; Kayla Wu, Polycarbonates Global Sustainability Solutions, Covestro; Linda Wang, Sustainability Manager of IKEA North Asia (Taiwan, Hong Kong & Macau); Jennifer Yu, Senior Manager of Unilever Taiwan and Hong Kong, and Thomas Walk, SD in Production Leader of Decathlon.

After the presentations, six match-making tables focused on the topics of circular sourcing, circular materials, circular design, circular models, and circular packaging were hosted by MOEA IDB, ECCT LCI, Carrefour, Covestro, IKEA, Unilever, and Decathlon CSO or sourcing managers.

The Sustainable Supply Chain Forum was organised by the MOEA Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) and co-organized by the ECCT Low Carbon Initiative (LCI).
