The ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) supports Taiwan Environmental Protection Administration (Taiwan EPA) with organizing the 2017 International Environmental Partnership Program (IEP Program) under the theme of Circular Economy Innovation of the Future co-organized by Taiwan EPA and US Environmental Protection Agency.

Opened on 25 Sept. 2017, hosted by Taiwan EPA Minister LEE Yin-yuan 李應元署長, the IEPC-Circular Economy Innovation of the Future is composed of three major events including the Circular Economy Global Forum, Circular Economy Working Meeting and Taiwan-Japan-Korea Tripartite Network Meeting. The LCI has two members speaking in the forum: Mr. Bodo Kretzschmar from TUV Rheinland and Mr. Jerry Chung from Evonik, respectively sharing1) EU's certification of recycled material to transform waste to the reuse; and 2) advancing biogas tech to turn agricultural waste into energy.
