On Wed. 11 April at Hall 1 Taipei World Trade Center the ECCT's Low Carbon Initiative (LCI) will work together with TUV Rheinland and TAITRA on 2018 Rail Development and Trend Forum, featuring expert speakers from Taiwan Railway Administration 台灣鐵路管理局, NTC's Rapid Transit Dept. 新北市捷運局, ABB 艾波比, SIEMENS 西門子, CECI 世曦, and TUV Rheinland 德國萊因, to showcase innovations of rail and rapid transit system that has/ or to be deployed in Taiwan and the globe.

Taiwan's government has launched the Forward-looking Infrastructure Development Program designed to meet Taiwan's development needs for the next generation, and among its components is a railway infrastructure plan to strengthen the nation's rail systems in line with green traffic and transportation trends. As such, half of the program budget NT$882.49 billion (US$29.24 billion) will be earmarked for 38 railway projects in five major areas in Taiwan to expend the nation's rail network—including main trunk lines, inter-city services and intra-city rail—to support Taiwan's growth for the next 30 years.

The forum opens only 150 seats to gov., industry, and research organizations. Register now at https://goo.gl/zWBZkD
